Founded in Brooklyn, New York in 2002 by Clarence Nathan, Premium Goods was built from a deep connection to sneaker culture, community, and storytelling. As the original Premium Goods location, Brooklyn helped shape the foundation and identity of the brand during an important era in sneaker culture. The store became known for its thoughtful approach to retail, creating a space where product, creativity, and community naturally came together. That original spirit continues to be part of the foundation of Premium Goods today.

In 2004, Houston native Jennifer Ford brought Premium Goods to Texas, opening the first independent sneaker boutique in the state. As a Black woman owned business in an industry where representation has often been limited, the Houston location introduced a distinct point of view rooted in culture, community, and authenticity. Located in Rice Village, the store became more than a destination for footwear. It became a gathering place where fashion, music, art, and storytelling intersected with the energy of Houston.

While each location carries its own identity, both stores share the same philosophy: creating meaningful experiences through product, storytelling, and connection. Brooklyn represents the foundation of the brand, while Houston reflects its continued growth and impact over the years.

For over two decades, Premium Goods has remained rooted in community and driven by purpose. From collaborations and activations to everyday conversations inside the stores, the brand continues to celebrate the people, cultures, and stories that continue to shape culture forward.
